Shalom beloveds in YaHuWaH

First let us take the time to personally thank everyone who is helping us in our process to relocate to America from Namibia. We can never thank you enough for your prayers and support.

The reason why we are writing this is to announce the moving of our personal blog from WordPress.com to WordPress.org. We were very limited with WordPress.com with what we could do with our blog and WordPress.orgoffers us so much more including free services and plugins and themes and support that WordPress.com does not offer. We will be self-hosting our website and we have built it ourselves to what we want it to be and what we want it to look like. We want our site to be very user friendly on all devices, colorful and interactive. We were blessed with tools that help with the building of a website and pages and sections that otherwise were not available to us at WordPress.com without having to pay for it. WordPress themes are very limited in their layout and we wanted to provide a wide variety of resources to all who visit our site. We were able to construct pages the way we wanted them to look and add pages with content that a normal blog would not allow. We pray that everyone who visits our new site will enjoy the fresh new look, the interactive layout and the way we used color everywhere.

Those who were subscribers via WordPress and via email have been migrated to the new site using a WordPress migration tool but there is a good chance that some subscribers were not successfully migrated. We advise all subscribers and followers to visit our new site and make sure you are still a subscriber/follower.

The purpose of our site is firstly to bring honor and glory to YaHuWaH Tsevaot, His Shem Zekar, so that we can bring His Name to remembrance. Secondly we want to help in any small way we can to equip the body of Messiah with the basic understanding of the Paleo Hebrew Aleph-Bet and how to sepher the letters and bring forth the treasures hidden in the Hebrew Scriptures. Our site will have a mixed multitude of resources to help in this process. We will videos available for viewing, pdf documents and various books in pdf format for research purposes available for download. We will also have links to sites of like-minded believers where video teachings on the Paleo Aleph-Bet can be found as well that will help in the studying of Paleo Hebrew.

There are no big I’s and no little u’s – we are all on the path that leads to life! We are here for you in any kind of way that we can help you in your walk on the path that leads to life and to help you to be clothed in righteousness, to walk in right-ruling, and loving-commitment and compassion.

“And I shall take you as a bride unto Me forever, and take you as a bride unto Me in righteousness, and in right-ruling, and loving-commitment and compassion. “And I shall take you as a bride unto Me in trustworthiness, and you shall know יהוה. “And it shall be in that day that I answer,” declares יהוה, “that I answer the heavens, and they answer the earth, and the earth answer the grain and the new wine and the oil, and they answer Yizre‛ĕl. “And I shall sow her for Myself in the earth, and I shall have compassion on her who had not obtained compassion. And I shall say to those who were not My people, ‘You are My people,’ while they say, ‘My Elohim!’ ” Hoshĕa (Hosea)‬ ‭2:19-23‬

Are you getting rained on?

Stray out from under His instructions and the rain has the authority to get you wet. Deu 30:11-14 “For this command which I am commanding you today, it is not too hard for you, nor is it far off. “It is not in the heavens, to say, ‘Who shall ascend into the heavens for us, and bring it to us, and cause us to hear it, so that we do it?’ “Nor is it beyond the sea, to say, ‘Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it to us, and cause us to hear it, so that we do it?’ “For the Word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart – to do it.

“And from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, you shall count for yourselves: seven completed Sabbaths. ‘Until the morrow after the seventh Sabbath you count fifty days, then you shall bring a new grain offering to יהוה. ‘Bring from your dwellings for a wave offering two loaves of bread, of two-tenths of an ĕphah of fine flour they are, baked with leaven, first-fruits to יהוה. ‘And besides the bread, you shall bring seven lambs a year old, perfect ones, and one young bull and two rams. They are an ascending offering to יהוה, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering made by fire for a sweet fragrance to יהוה. ‘And you shall offer one male goat as a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old, as a slaughter of peace offerings. ‘And the priest shall wave them, besides the bread of the first-fruits, as a wave offering before יהוה, besides the two lambs. They are set-apart to יהוה for the priest. ‘And on this same day you shall proclaim a set-apart gathering for yourselves, you do no servile work on it – a law forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. ‘And when you reap the harvest of your land do not completely reap the corners of your field when you reap, and do not gather any gleaning from your harvest. Leave them for the poor and for the stranger. I am יהוה your Elohim.’ ”

The Red Heifer 2

WhatsApp Image 2018-03-15 at 10.29.44 PM_InPixio.jpg

THE RED HEIFER

Does the Lamb of YaHuWaH take away the sins of the world?

Before you begin to reason with your ‘church’ mindset, let us look into WHY THE PASSOVER LAMB WAS ONLY FOR REDEMPTION!

The Passover Lamb is not a salvation issue.

Passover is the redemption of the first born.

You cannot put on a white robe without the red heifer sacrifice.

We are talking about sanctification and not salvation.

  • Redemption
  • Sanctification
  • Reconciliation
  • Justification
  • Restoration

young_riders_InPixio

The children would sanctify the Kohen

The priestly pregnant women would give birth to their children in the temple courts and leave them there until they were 8 years old to train them for the ritual of the water of purification.

The young children were sent to the pool of Siloam to gather the water for the ashes of the Red Heifer.  The water of the pool was called The Waters of Yahusha.

The floor of the Temple was hollow between the floor and the ground beneath.  There was a space of a hand as a precaution to not become unclean.  According to the Pharisees they could become unclean through the floor is someone was buried underneath the floor.

The mystery of the ashes of sanctification was not easy to explain.  Even King Solomon could not understand the ritual.

  • How can a priest become unclean without touching an unclean person or thing
  • Lepers
  • Women in Niddah (menstrual cycle)
  • Touching a dead animal
  • Touching or sitting on something unclean

These for the most part were the common ways to be considered unclean.

Until Numbers 19! – which is a shadow of the work of Messiah and how He would bring sanctification for Yisra’El, therefore fulfilling every biblical requirement of the sacrifice.

“And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying, “This is a law of the Torah which יהוה has commanded, saying, ‘Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, that they bring you a red heifer, a perfect one, in which there is no blemish and on which a yoke has never come. And you shall give it to Eli‛ezer the priest, and he shall bring it outside the camp, and shall slay it before him. And Eli‛ezer the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger, and sprinkle some of its blood seven times toward the front of the Tent of Appointment. And the heifer shall be burned before his eyes – he burns its hide, and its flesh, and its blood, and its dung. And the priest shall take cedar wood and hyssop and scarlet, and throw them into the midst of the fire burning the heifer. The priest shall then wash his garments, and shall bathe his body in water, and afterward come into the camp, but the priest is unclean until evening. And he who is burning it washes his garments in water, and shall bathe his body in water, and is unclean until evening. And a clean man shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and shall place them outside the camp in a clean place. And they shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl for the water for uncleanness, it is for cleansing from sin. And he who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his garments, and is unclean until evening. And it shall be a law forever to the children of Yisra’ĕl and to the stranger who sojourns in their midst.”  Bemiḏbar (Numbers) 19:1-10

We have noticed that in the Red Heifer sacrifice there was an altar for the offering to be accepted.

Yahusha said, Matthew 23:18,19, “And, Whoever swears by the slaughter-place, it does not matter, but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, is bound by oath. Fools and blind!  For which is greater, the gift or the slaughter-place that sets the gift apart?

Christianity teaches that Messiah died to the North of the City.

All the walls that were there on the Temple mount were high, with the exception of the Eastern Wall, so that the Priest who burned the Red Heifer stood on top of the Mount of Olives and was able to see directly into the Entrance of the Sanctuary when the blood was tossed.

vacaroja_InPixio.jpg

Yahusha was a sacrifice and according to the Torah the altar sanctifies the offering.

The question – WHERE IS THE ALTAR WHERE YAHUSHA DIED?

What people saw when Yahusha died:-

  • The veil torn
  • There was a garden
  • Tomb was there also

And it was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over all the land, until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the Dwelling Place was torn in two. And crying out with a loud voice, יהושע said, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.” And having said this, He breathed His last. And the captain, seeing what took place, praised Elohim, saying, “Truly, this Man was righteous!” And when all the crowds who had gathered to that sight saw what took place, they beat their breasts and went away. Luqas (Luke) 23:44-48

And יהושע cried out again with a loud voice, and gave up His spirit. And see, the veil of the Dwelling Place was torn in two from top to bottom, and the earth was shaken, and the rocks were split, and the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the set-apart ones who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection, they went into the set-apart city and appeared to many. And when the captain and those with him, who were guarding יהושע, saw the earthquake and all that took place, they feared exceedingly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of Elohim!” Mattithyahu (Matthew) 27:50-54

And יהושע cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last. And the veil of the Dwelling Place was torn in two from top to bottom. And when the captain, who was standing opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said, “Truly this Man was the Son of Elohim!” Marqos (Mark) 15:37-39

What was the process of anointment for the Kohen haGadol?

During the first and second Temple period:-

  1. The High Priest was anointed on The Mount of Olives
  2. Another name for that mountain was The Mount of Anointment
  3. The way to anoint the Priest was with the Sign of the Tav (t)
  4. The ashes of the Red Heifer were kept in three places in Yisra’El. The Mount of Olives, The Temple Courts in a special room made of stone and the rest was sent all through the Land of Yisra’El in the Leviticus cities
  5. This gives us a hint as to why Yahusha died on a stake, the sign of the ‘t’ in Paleo Hebrew

This sacrifice was also the mark of salvation and the inheritance of Yisra’El given to Abraham.

After these events the word of יהוה came to Aḇram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Aḇram. I am your shield, your reward is exceedingly great.” And Aḇram said, “Master יהוה, what would You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eli‛ezer of Dammeseq?” And Aḇram said, “See, You have given me no seed, and see, one born in my house is my heir!” And see, the word of יהוה came to him, saying, “This one is not your heir, but he who comes from your own body is your heir.” And He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward the heavens, and count the stars if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So are your seed.” And he believed in יהוה, and He reckoned it to him for righteousness. And He said to him, “I am יהוה, who brought you out of Ur-kasdim, to give you this land to inherit it.” And he said, “Master יהוה, whereby do I know that I possess it?” And He said to him, “Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, and a three-year-old female goat, and a three-year-old ram, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” And he took all these to Him and cut them in the middle, and placed each half opposite the other, but he did not cut the birds. And the birds of prey came down on the carcasses, and Aḇram drove them away. And it came to be, when the sun was going down, and a deep sleep fell upon Aḇram, that see, a frightening great darkness fell upon him. And He said to Aḇram, “Know for certain that your seed are to be sojourners in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them, and they shall afflict them four hundred years. “But the nation whom they serve I am going to judge, and afterward let them come out with great possessions. “Now as for you, you are to go to your fathers in peace, you are to be buried at a good old age. “Then, in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the crookedness of the Amorites is not yet complete.” And it came to be, when the sun went down and it was dark, that see, a smoking oven and a burning torch passing between those pieces. On the same day יהוה made a covenant with Aḇram, saying, “I have given this land to your seed, from the river of Mitsrayim to the great river, the River Euphrates, with the Qĕynite, and the Qenizzite, and the Qaḏmonite, and the Ḥittite, and the Perizzite, and the Repha’im, and the Amorite, and the Kena‛anite, and the Girgashite, and the Yeḇusite.”  Berĕshith (Genesis) 15:1-21

Genesis 15 explains prophetically why Yahusha needed to die – to restore Yisra’El back to the Covenant!

  • Eli‛ezer – Help of YaHuWaH
  • Heifer – Female shadow of Yisra’El
  • YaHuWaH walked through the pieces – Unconditional Covenant
  • Five different types of animals – same as in Leviticus
  • Five – Favor
  • 400 years – 4, 4000, Yahusha came on the 4th day from Creation on the 4000 years

This chapter is showing us the plan of salvation and unconditional love of our Creator outlining His plan for restoration.

The sacrificed of an unyoked heifer also involves guilt and judgment.

“When anyone is found slain, lying in the field in the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you to possess, and it is not known who struck him, then your elders and your judges shall go out, and they shall measure the distance from the slain man to the cities round about. “And it shall be that the elders of the city nearest to the slain man shall take a heifer which has not been worked and which has not pulled with a yoke, and the elders of that city shall bring the heifer down to a wadi with flowing water, which is neither ploughed nor sown, and they shall break the heifer’s neck there in the wadi. “And the priests, the sons of Lĕwi, shall come near, for יהוה your Elohim has chosen them to serve Him and to bless in the Name of יהוה, and by their mouth every strife and every stroke is tried . “And let all the elders of that city nearest to the slain man wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the wadi. “And they shall answer and say, ‘Our hands have not shed this blood, nor have our eyes seen it. O יהוה, forgive Your people Yisra’ĕl, whom You have ransomed, and do not allow innocent blood in the midst of Your people Yisra’ĕl.’ And the blood-guilt shall be pardoned to them. “Thus you purge the guilt of innocent blood from your midst when you do what is right in the eyes of יהוה.  Deḇarim (Deuteronomy) 21:1-9

In this way also, the guilt of innocent blood was purged from Yisra’El.  The unyoked requirement signifies freedom from slavery to another religious system.

And when Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but rather an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this Righteous One. You shall see to it.”  Mattithyahu (Matthew) 27:24

THE JUDGMENT AGAINST YAHUSHA AND THE ACTIONS OF PILATE PARALLEL THE RITUAL FOUND IN DEUTERONOMY 21.

“And I looked and saw that you had sinned against יהוה your Elohim, and had made for yourselves a moulded calf! You had quickly turned aside from the way which יהוה had commanded you. And I took the two tablets and threw them out of my two hands and broke them before your eyes,” “and I fell down before יהוה, as at the first, forty days and forty nights. I did not eat bread and I did not drink water, because of all your sins which you committed in doing evil in the eyes of יהוה, to provoke Him. “For I was afraid of the displeasure and rage with which יהוה was wroth with you, to destroy you. But יהוה listened to me that time once more. “And יהוה was very enraged with Aharon, to destroy him, so I prayed for Aharon at that time also. “And I took your sin, the calf which you had made, and burned it with fire and crushed it and ground it very small, until it was as fine as dust. And I threw its dust into the stream that came down from the mountain.  Deḇarim (Deuteronomy) 9:16-21

In  the book of John we see a hint about the wedding (Canaan)

And there were six stone water-jugs standing there, according to the mode of cleansing of the Yehuḏim, each holding two or three measures.  Yoḥanan (John) 2:6

  1. Six – 6000 / time of humanity before the coming of Messiah
  2. Water – Ruach haKodesh
  3. Stone – Rock (Yahusha is the Rock)

Many things were done outside the camp according to the sacrificial system in Torah.

The Place of Offerings

Blasphemers

And the son of an Yisra’ĕli woman, whose father was a Mitsrian man, went out among the children of Yisra’ĕl. And the Yisra’ĕli woman’s son and a man of Yisra’ĕl strove in the camp. And the Yisra’ĕli woman’s son blasphemed the Name, and cursed. So they brought him to Mosheh. Now his mother’s name was Shelomith the daughter of Diḇri, of the tribe of Dan. And they put him under guard, that it might be declared to them at the mouth of יהוה. And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, “Bring the one who has cursed outside the camp, and all those who heard him shall lay their hands on his head, and all the congregation shall stone him. “And speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘Anyone who curses his Elohim shall bear his sin. ‘And he who blasphemes the Name of יהוה shall certainly be put to death, and all the congregation certainly stone him, the stranger as well as the native. When he blasphemes the Name, he is put to death. Wayyiqra 24:10-16

Bulls

And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying, “This is a law of the Torah which יהוה has commanded, saying, ‘Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, that they bring you a red heifer, a perfect one, in which there is no blemish and on which a yoke has never come. Bemiḏbar (Numbers) 19:1-9

Yom haKippurim (bull and goat)

And he spoke to the congregation, saying, “Please turn away from the tents of these wrong men! Do not touch whatever belongs to them, lest you be consumed in all their sins.” Then they moved away from around the tents of Qoraḥ, Dathan, and Aḇiram. And Dathan and Aḇiram came out and stood at the door of their tents, with their wives, and their sons, and their little children.  Bemiḏbar (Numbers) 16:26-27

The Ordination Offering

“And you shall bring near the bull before the Tent of Appointment, and Aharon and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull. And you shall slay the bull before יהוה, by the door of the Tent of Appointment,” and take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the slaughter-place with your finger, and pour all the blood beside the base of the slaughter-place. “And you shall take all the fat that covers the entrails, and the appendage on the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and burn them on the slaughter-place. “But the flesh of the bull, and its skin and its dung, you shall burn with fire outside the camp. It is a sin offering.  Shemoth (Exodus) 29:10-14

Mount of Olives the Place of Worship

And Tsaḏoq and Eḇyathar took the ark of Elohim back to Yerushalayim, and they remained there. And Dawiḏ went up by the ascent of the Mount of Olives, and wept as he went up. And he had his head covered and went barefoot. And all the people who were with him covered their heads and went up, weeping as they went up. And Dawiḏ was informed, saying, “Aḥithophel is among the conspirators with Aḇshalom.” And Dawiḏ said, “O יהוה, I pray You, make the counsel of Aḥithophel foolish!” And it came to be that Dawiḏ came to the summit, where he bowed himself before Elohim, and saw Ḥushai the Arkite, coming to meet him with his robe torn and dust on his head.  Shemu’ĕl Bĕt (2 Samuel) 15:29-32

Unintentional Sin by the Anointed Priest

‘If the anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, then he shall bring to יהוה for his sin which he has sinned a young bull, a perfect one, as a sin offering, and he shall bring the bull to the door of the Tent of Appointment before יהוה, and shall lay his hand on the bull’s head, and slay the bull before יהוה. ‘And the anointed priest shall take some of the bull’s blood and bring it to the Tent of Appointment, and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle some of the blood seven times before יהוה, in front of the veil of the set-apart place. ‘And the priest shall put some of the blood on the horns of the slaughter-place of sweet incense before יהוה, which is in the Tent of Appointment, and pour all the blood of the bull at the base of the slaughter-place of the ascending offering, which is at the door of the Tent of Appointment. ‘Then he takes all the fat of the bull as the sin offering, the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat which is on the entrails, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them by the loins, and the appendage on the liver, which he removes with the kidneys, “as it was taken from the bull of the slaughtering of peace offerings . And the priest shall burn them on the slaughter-place of the ascending offering. ‘But the skin of the bull, and all its flesh, with its head and legs, its entrails and dung – all of the bull – he shall bring outside the camp to a clean place, where the ashes are poured out, and burn it on wood with fire. Where the ashes are poured out it is burned.  Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 4:3-12

Unintentional Sin for the whole community of Yisra’El

‘And if the entire congregation of Yisra’ĕl strays by mistake, and the matter has been hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done against any of the commands of יהוה, which are not to be done, and shall be guilty, when the sin which they have sinned becomes known, then the assembly shall bring a young bull for the sin, and bring it before the Tent of Appointment. ‘And the elders of the congregation shall lay their hands on the head of the bull before יהוה, and the bull shall be slain before יהוה. ‘And the anointed priest shall bring some of the bull’s blood to the Tent of Appointment, and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle it seven times before יהוה, in front of the veil, and put some of the blood on the horns of the slaughter-place which is before יהוה, which is in the Tent of Appointment, and pour all the blood at the base of the slaughter-place of ascending offering, which is at the door of the Tent of Appointment. ‘Then he takes all the fat from it and shall burn it on the slaughter-place. ‘And he shall do with the bull as he did with the bull as a sin offering – so shall he do it. And the priest shall make atonement for them, and it shall be forgiven them. ‘And he shall bring the bull outside the camp, and burn it as he burned the first bull. It is a sin offering for the assembly.  Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 4:13-21

The ashes of all burnt offerings

And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, “Command Aharon and his sons, saying, ‘This is the Torah of the ascending offering: This is the ascending offering, because it is burned on the slaughter-place all night until morning, and the fire of the slaughter-place is kept burning on it. ‘And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and put his linen trousers on his body, and shall take up the ashes of the ascending offering which the fire has consumed on the slaughter-place, and shall put them beside the slaughter-place. ‘And he shall take off his garments, and put on other garments, and shall bring the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.  Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 6:8-11

Ordination Sin Offering

And Mosheh brought the sons of Aharon and put long shirts on them, and girded them with girdles, and put turbans on them, as יהוה had commanded Mosheh. And he brought the bull for the sin offering, and Aharon and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull for the sin offering, and it was slain. And Mosheh took the blood, and put some on the horns of the slaughter-place all around with his finger, and cleansed the slaughter-place. And he poured the blood at the base of the slaughter-place, and set it apart, to make atonement for it. And he took all the fat that was on the entrails, and the appendage on the liver, and the two kidneys with their fat, and Mosheh burned them on the slaughter-place. And the bull, and its skin, and its flesh, and its dung, he burned with fire outside the camp, as יהוה had commanded Mosheh. Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 8:13-17

Sin Offering for the People

And Mosheh said to Aharon, “Go to the slaughter-place, and prepare your sin offering and your ascending offering, and make atonement for yourself and for the people. And make the offering of the people, and make atonement for them, as יהוה has commanded.” So Aharon came near to the slaughter-place and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself. And the sons of Aharon brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it on the horns of the slaughter-place, and poured the blood at the base of the slaughter-place. And the fat, and the kidneys, and the appendage on the liver of the sin offering he burned on the slaughter-place, as יהוה had commanded Mosheh. And the flesh and the skin he burned with fire outside the camp.  Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 9:7-11

Lepers typology of SIN taken outside the camp

“And when a man loses the hair of his head, he is bald, he is clean. “And if the hair has fallen from his forehead, he is bald on the forehead, he is clean. “And when there is on the bald head or bald forehead a reddish-white infection, it is leprosy breaking out on his bald head or his bald forehead. And the priest shall look at it and see, if the swelling of the infection is reddish-white on his bald head or on his bald forehead, as the appearance of leprosy on the skin of the body,” he is a leprous man, he is unclean. The priest shall pronounce him unclean, without fail, his infection is on his head. “As for the leper who has the infection, his garments are torn, and his head is uncovered, and he has to cover his upper lip and cry, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ “He is unclean – all the days he has the infection he is unclean. He is unclean, and he dwells alone, his dwelling place is outside the camp.  Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 13:40-46

And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, “Command the children of Yisra’ĕl to send out of the camp every leper, and everyone who has a discharge, and whoever becomes defiled for a being. “Send out both male and female, send them outside the camp, so that they do not defile their camps in the midst of which I dwell.” And the children of Yisra’ĕl did so, to send them outside the camp. As יהוה had spoken to Mosheh, so the children of Yisra’ĕl did.  Bemiḏbar (Numbers) 5:1-4

And יהוה shall go forth, and He shall fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet shall stand upon the Mount of Olives, which faces Yerushalayim on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, a very great valley, and half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south. And you shall flee to the valley of My mountain – for the valley of the mountains reaches to Atsal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziyah sovereign of Yehuḏah. BIBLICAL EVIDENCE TO PROVE WHERE YAHUSHA DIED

“We have a slaughter-place from which those serving the Tent have no authority to eat. For the bodies of those beasts whose blood is brought into the Set-apart Place by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp. The Red Heifer 1

‘The red heifer’/PeRaH-ADaMaH

“פרה אדומה”

Then YaHuWaH spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, “This is the statute of the law which YaHuWaH has commanded, saying, ‘Speak to the sons of Yisra’El that they bring you an unblemished red heifer in which is no defect and on which a yoke has never been placed.” – Num. 19:1-2

It was a command of YaHuWaH given to Moses and Aaron for the sons of Yisra’El to bring a certain cow; a red heifer.

The Red Heifer

The Hebrew phrase for “red heifer” is “פרה אדומה” – “parah adumah” and literally means “red cow,” however in the verses quoted above, we read the term “red heifer” because a heifer more specifically describes the kind of cow which was to be brought to Moses and Aaron. A heifer is defined as “a young female cow over one year old that has not produced a calf.” It was to be a particular kind of cow and it was to be a particular color as well, red.

The red heifer that the children of Yisra’El were to bring to Moses and Aaron had to meet all of the criteria that the YaHuWaH specified:

“unblemished” – “תמימה” – “temimah” – “whole” or “complete”

“no defect” – “אין בה מום” – “ein bo mum” – “no spot or defect in it”

“on which a yoke has never been placed” – “אשר לא עלה עליה עול” – “asher lo alah alei’ah ol”

This young, female, red cow had to fit these specifications exactly. She could never have worked a day in her life. She needed to be whole and complete, without any spot or defect in anyway. She had to be a perfect, red heifer.

After the red heifer was thoroughly checked to meet all of the above specifications, this perfect, young, female cow was then to be brought to the priest:

You shall give it to Eleazar the priest, and it shall be brought outside the camp and be slaughtered in his presence. Next Eleazar the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger and sprinkle some of its blood toward the front of the tent of meeting seven times. Then the heifer shall be burned in his sight; its hide and its flesh and its blood, with its refuse, shall be burned. The priest shall take cedar wood and hyssop and scarlet material and cast it into the midst of the burning heifer. – Num. 19:3-6

The Kohen was to slaughter the red heifer, take some of its blood and sprinkle it towards the front of the tent of meeting seven times, and then burn the red heifer together with cedar, hyssop, and scarlet material. What was the purpose of this perfect sacrifice with these added materials?

The Ashes of the Red Heifer

When all was said and done, the perfect red heifer was reduced to ashes, however, YaHuWaH had a particular function for these ashes within the community of Yisra’El:

Now a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and deposit them outside the camp in a clean place, and the congregation of the sons of Yisra’El shall keep it as water to remove impurity; it is purification from sin. The one who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening; and it shall be a perpetual statute to the sons of Yisra’El and to the alien who sojourns among them. – Num. 19:9

The ashes of the red heifer were to be used by the Yisraelites, and anyone who sojourned among them, as a means of cleansing and purification from sin.

young_riders_InPixio.jpg

The Waters of Purification

The ashes of the red heifer together with water were a means of spiritual purification before YaHuWaH. This was not a magic potion to bring purification from all sin, but rather a means of purification when anyone became defiled through coming in contact with a dead person:

The one who touches the corpse of any person shall be unclean for seven days. That one shall purify himself from uncleanness with the water on the third day and on the seventh day, and then he will be clean; but if he does not purify himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not be clean. Anyone who touches a corpse, the body of a man who has died, and does not purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of YaHuWaH ; and that person shall be cut off from Yisra’El. Because the water for impurity was not sprinkled on him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is still on him. – Num. 19:11-13

Death is considered an unclean state and whenever a person came in contact with death, they needed to be purified. The ashes of the red heifer together with water were a means to make one ritually clean before YaHuWaH.

YaHuWaH’s Prescription for Cleansing

There are various scenarios that are detailed throughout the rest of this chapter in Numbers 19 to explain when a person is considered to be unclean by coming in contact with a dead person and how they were to be cleansed through the water and ash mixture (Num. 19:14-22). Outside of stating that the unclean person defiled the Tabernacle of YaHuWaH by their unclean state, no other explanation is given for this prescription of cleansing through the ashes of an unblemished red heifer together with cedar wood, hyssop, and scarlet material. Why did YaHuWaH prescribe this exact formula for cleansing the Yisraelites from the impurity of death?

A Result of Disobedience

One of the most obvious answers regarding the timing of the giving of this ordinance for cleansing from the impurity of death is that it follows soon after the return of the twelve spies and the rejection of the majority of the people to go up and conquer the Land. As a result YaHuWaH judged the people and determined that the whole generation that was twenty years old and older, except Joshua and Caleb, would die in the wilderness:

But as for you, your corpses will fall in this wilderness. Your sons shall be shepherds for forty years in the wilderness, and they will suffer for your unfaithfulness, until your corpses lie in the wilderness. According to the number of days which you spied out the land, forty days, for every day you shall bear your guilt a year, even forty years, and you will know My opposition. I YaHuWaH, have spoken, surely this I will do to all this evil congregation who are gathered together against Me. In this wilderness they shall be destroyed, and there they will die. – Num. 14:32-35

For forty years the children of Yisra’El would bury that whole generation of people who rebelled against the command of YaHuWaH. Death continually faces them during this time and YaHuWaH provided a means for them to purify themselves if and when they came in contact with a dead body.

This judgement on the generation of Yisra’El clearly provides a reason for why YaHuWaH had to provide a law instructing the people to be careful to cleanse themselves from the impurity of death, but it doesn’t answer the question of the red heifer and the added materials that were together turned into ashes. What was the purpose of this exact combination of materials for the waters of impurity?

Why did YaHuWaH prescribe this exact formula for cleansing?

Throughout the Scripture, especially in the Torah, we see many examples of YaHuWaH prescribing exact formulas to be followed in order to establish Set Apartness and to provide a means for His people to worship Him in the manner which He so desires. Here are a few examples:

The construction of the Tabernacle and all of its furnishings – Ex. 25:8-9

The formula for anointing oil – Ex. 30:22-33

The formula for incense – Ex. 30:34-38

The instructions for various sacrifices and offerings – Lev. 1-6

In each of the above examples from Scripture, YaHuWaH gave specific instructions to be carried out according to His commands.

YaHuWaH does not always tell us why He commands us to do certain things in a certain manner. He is the King of the universe and part of the walk of faith with YaHuWaH acknowledges that He makes the rules. This is exactly what we see in the instructions regarding the red heifer and the other materials that are burned to ash and mixed together with water to purify individuals. In order to remain in the camp of the Yisraelites with the presence of YaHuWaH dwelling in their midst, a person, whether an Yisraelite or a foreigner, had to be considered clean in YaHuWaH’s sight.

According to YaHuWaH’s Word, it was only the ashes of the red heifer together with water used in the prescribed way that were able to purify a person from the uncleanness of death (Num. 19:9-10). The irony of this ritual of cleansing is that it was through the death of a perfect red heifer that the Yisraelites were purified from the uncleanness associated with death. Through the death of the red heifer they were made clean and could continue to live in the presence of YaHuWaH.

The Reason for the Red Heifer

There is no explanation in the Bible regarding why YaHuWaH specified this exact formula for the burning of a perfect red heifer together with cedar wood, hyssop, and scarlet material in order to provide a means of cleansing. The former Chief Rabbi of the State of Yisra’El answered his own questions regarding YaHuWaH’s instructions for the red heifer in the following manner:

Why specifically a cow ? Why specifically red? Why must it be one which had never worn a yoke? Why do the ashes purify man? We don’t have definitive answers to these questions. They are all in the hands of YaHuWaH.” – Lau, Rabbi Yisra’El Meir. Practical Judaism. Modan Pub. Tel Aviv. p. 284

As Rabbi Lau has so eloquently stated, there are some things in life that must simply be left in the hands of YaHuWaH. YaHuWaH Himself sets the standard for holiness and He determines how we are made clean and set-apart in His sight.

YaHuWaH’s Cleansing Power

Despite all of the details found in the Torah which instruct the Yisraelites regarding how to be clean and set-apart before Almighty YaHuWaH, Elohim tells us through the prophet Ezekiel that YaHuWaH Himself will provide another cleansing water which will cleanse His people from the filth of all their sin:

Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. – Ezekiel 36:25-27

This magnificent prophecy speaks of the cleansing from the filthiness of sin together with the promise of the giving of YaHuWaH’s Spirit to His people in order to lead them in His set-apart ways. In these verses we read about complete cleansing combined with faithful guidance through the indwelling of YaHuWaH’s Spirit.

This prophecy in Ezekiel 36 relates specifically to the nation of Yisra’El and YaHuWaH’s promise to restore the land and the people of Yisra’El for His Name’s sake. This prophecy is not dependent on the careful observance of YaHuWaH’s instructions but rather on YaHuWaH Himself:

Therefore say to the house of Yisra’El, ‘Thus says YaHuWaH, “It is not for your sake, O house of Yisra’El, that I am about to act, but for My set-apart name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went. I will vindicate the holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst. Then the nations will know that I am the Almighty,” declares the YaHuWaH, “when I prove Myself set-apart among you in their sight…” – Ezekiel 36:22-24

It is YaHuWaH who acts on behalf of His people to bring about their great salvation and deliverance. YaHuWaH promised to deliver His people from the nations where they have been scattered, to bring them back to the Land of Yisra’El, to provide cleansing from their sinful ways, and to fill His people with His Ruach.

The Prescription for the Renewed Covenant

The promises of YaHuWaH in Ezekiel 36 are in keeping with YaHuWaH’s promise to establish a Renewed Covenant with His people and to provide complete forgiveness from sin (Jer. 31:31-34). This forgiveness of sin would not occur in a vacuum but rather in accordance with YaHuWaH’s prescribed plan to bring redemption through His Messiah, the Anointed One (Isaiah 53:4-6). YaHuWaH also declared that the Messiah would not only redeem His people Yisra’El but He would also be a light to the Gentiles (Isaiah 49:5-6).

YaHuWaH’s Specifications for the Messiah

Just as the red heifer had to fit the specifications that YaHuWaH prescribed, so would the Messiah (the Anointed One), have to meet certain criteria in order to fulfill this promise of YaHuWaH to purge His people from lawlessness:

He would be born in Bethlehem – Micah 5:2

He would be born of a virgin (literally “a young woman”) – Isaiah 7:14

He would be called Emanuel (“YaHuWaH with us”) – Isaiah 7:14

He would be a child that would be born and son that was given – Isaiah 9:6

He would bear many names: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty YaHuWaH, Eternal Father, and Prince of Peace – Isaiah 9:6

He would reign eternally on the throne of David – Isaiah 9:7

He would reign as King on Mt. Zion – Ps. 2:6. Zech. 14:9,16

This is a brief list of the many prophecies regarding the Messiah who would come to bear the weight of the sin of the world and provide salvation from the judgment of sin for the house Yahudah and house of Yisra’El  alike.

The Red Heifer & The Messiah

Although the ashes of the red heifer provided a means of cleansing, this cleansing was only temporary and would have to be applied each time a person was defiled. Unlike the temporary cleansing by means of the ashes of the red heifer, the cleansing from sin that YaHuWaH would provide through His Messiah would be perpetual and eternal in accordance with the very nature of the Messiah Himself:

For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to YaHuWaH, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living YaHuWaH? For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. – Hebrews 9:13-15

The unique characteristic of the eternal nature of the Messiah provides an eternal source of cleansing that continually purifies those whose hope is in Him.

Through the death of the Messiah we who have been tainted by the lawlessness of this world can be made clean through the applying of His cleansing blood to our lives. This is the wisdom of YaHuWaH:

Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not YaHuWaH made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of YaHuWaH the world through its wisdom did not come to know YaHuWaH, YaHuWaH was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom; but we preach Messiah crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness, but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Messiah the power of YaHuWaH and the wisdom of YaHuWaH. Because the foolishness of YaHuWaH is wiser than men, and the weakness of YaHuWaH is stronger than men. 1 Corinthians 1:20-25

YaHuWaH’s wisdom and His provision of cleansing from sin is foolishness to the world system in which live. YaHuWaH has invited us to believe in His Messiah, the embodiment of His power and His wisdom, who through His death offers us cleansing from sin and life eternal.

Being Sprinkled By The Water of the Kohen haGadol

John/Yuchenun 15:3 “You are already clean because of the Word which I have spoken to you.” … Stay IN Me…….. born of Water/Meyam …. and Spirit/Ruach

Immersion- going under the ‘water’… or could be better stated as: submission – to come under His Supreme Authority; as Ruler over ‘our body’

“Let my Instruction fall as rain, My speech distilled – as dew, As fine rain on the tender plants, And as showers on the grass. “For I proclaim the Name of יהוה, Ascribe Greatness to our Elohim. (Deut. 32:2-3) << His Word/s << the ‘clean’ waters that we ‘come under’.. immersed in… His Word/s that ‘teach’ us ‘clean from unclean’…

Ezekiel/Yachezqal 36:24-27 “And I shall take you from among the gentiles, and I shall gather you out of all lands, and I shall bring you into your own land. “And I shall sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean <<(distilled as dew) – from all your filthiness and from all your idols I cleanse you. And I shall give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. And I shall take the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I shall give you a heart of flesh, and put My Spirit within you. And I shall cause you to walk in My Statutes and guard My right-rulings and shall DO them.”

1Peter/Kepha 1:1-7 Kĕpha, an emissary of יהושע Messiah, to the chosen, strangers of the dispersion in Pontos, Galatia, Kappadokia, Asia, and Bithunia, chosen according to the foreknowledge of Elohim the Father, set apart by the Spirit unto >> obedience and sprinkling of the blood ((the carrier of ‘the heart’s desire’ – The Spirit of obedience”)) of יהושע Messiah: Favour and peace be increased to you. Blessed be the Elohim and Father of our Master יהושע Messiah, who according to His great compassion has caused us to be born again to a living expectation through the resurrection of יהושע Messiah from the dead, >> to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, having been kept in the heavens for you,<< (the ‘waters’ above) >> distilled, pure, clean <<<< who are protected by the power of Elohim through belief, for a ‘deliverance’ ready to be revealed in the last time, in which you exult, even though for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by manifold trials, in order that the proving of your belief – much more precious than gold that perishes, and proven by fire – might be found to result in praise and respect and esteem at the revelation of יהושע Messiah,”

… sprinkled by the water with the ashes of ‘the red heifer’/PeRaH-ADaMaH… entering into ‘the gate’… at the altar of sacrifice; pouring out – our corrupted mind, and heart – utterly!!! coming ‘under’ – submissive obedience… to be purged and purified in ‘the fire’ – washed in the laver,<<(the outer court; ‘trampled by the gentiles’ Rev. 11:1-2)>> renewed, like in a gestation.. the water mingled with blood – and entering in through The Door – born into The Household…  a newborn, or nursling… emotional attachment to ‘The Source’…  nurtured, trained and taught ‘In The House’…. eating from The Table… ‘learning’ to ‘speak’ Truth (no guile was found in their mouths)….

when our heart ‘burns’ with a passionate desire to ‘obey’ & and our body goes into actions of obedience… seeking out INSTRUCTION and then doing according to the understanding we are given…  we KNOW and can testify that HE HAS COME… our corrupted heart & mind cannot ‘desire’ submissive obedience… it is The Ruach/Spirit of Mashyach Yahusha ‘IN’ us… doing the Work of gathering us… leading us.. teaching us… the desire to submit is NOT ‘of ourselves’… we have nothing to boast in, EXCEPT HIM…

Fountain of Wisdom

Mishlĕ/Proverbs 18:4  The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; The fountain of wisdom is a flowing stream.

This parable teaches us the clear lesson of how our words reflect a lot of what is going on deep inside our beings. To the religious Pharisees who accused Messiah of casting demons out by Beʽelzebul when He healed a demon possessed man who was dumb and blind, He said the following:

“Brood of adders! How are you able to speak what is good – being wicked? For the mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart. “The good man brings forth what is good from the good treasures of his heart, and the wicked man brings forth what is wicked from the wicked treasure. “And I say to you that for every idle word men speak, they shall give an account of it in the day of judgment. “For by your words you shall be declared righteous, and by your words you shall be declared unrighteous.” Matthew 12:34-37

Messiah was highlighting how the wicked words of the Pharisees had come from deep within their beings, revealing the wickedness that was upon their hearts.

The Hebrew word that is translated as ‘deep’ is עָמֹק amoq – Strong’s H6013 which means, deep, exceedingly mysterious.

This adjective is used 17 times on the Tanak, 7 of which are found in Wayyiqra/Leviticus 13 in reference to the severity of leprosy, and in the Proverbs of Shelomoh we see this adjective being used 4 times. Here in Mishlĕ/Proverbs 18:4 it is used to highlight the depths that the words of a man’s mouth come out from. In Mishlĕ/Proverbs 20:5 we are told that counsel of a man’s heart is like deep waters, but a man of understanding draws it out.

In Mishlĕ/Proverbs 22:14 we are clearly warned that the mouth of the strange woman is a deep pit and in Mishlĕ/Proverbs 23:27 we are told that the whore is a deep pit. What we are therefore able to recognize is the inward being of a man is reflected by his words. Sha’ul reminds us that our words must be pure and clean, reflecting a heart that is pure and clean as we let the Word of Messiah dwell in us:

Let the Word of Yahusha dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing with pleasure in your hearts to the Master in psalms and songs of praise and spiritual songs. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the Name of the Master יהושע, giving thanks to Elohim the Father through Him. Colossians 3:16-17   (Footnote: 1John 12:48, Dt. 18:19, Rev. 19:13.)

The Hebrew word translated here as dwell is yashab (yod shin bet)

(YShB) ac: Sit co: Dwelling ab: ?: A place of dwelling as the place returned to.

Sit: To set oneself down in the dwelling place for the night or for long periods of time. To settle or remain. When the Word of Yahusha dwells richly in us we are enabled to walk according to the Ruach and put to death the things of the flesh, giving us great depths of knowledge, discernment and understanding from deep within which will also cause our speech and actions to be pure and clean!

And if Messiah is in you, the body is truly dead on account of sin, but the Ruach is life on account of righteousness. And if the Ruach of Him who raised Yahusha from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Messiah from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies through His Ruach dwelling in you.

So then, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Ruach you put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live. For as many as are led by the Ruach of Elohim, these are sons of Elohim.

For you did not receive the ruach of bondage again to fear, but you received the Ruach of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:10-15

Let your word always be with favour, seasoned with salt, so that you know how you ought to answer each one. Col 4:6

Knowing that the words of a man are deep waters, we recognize what must dwell in us in order that good comes forth from our mouths from the good treasures that is in our hearts. Dawid tells us in:

Tehillim/Psalms 119:11  I have treasured up Your word in my heart, That I might not sin against You.

When the Word of our Master and Elohim is treasured up in our hearts we are equipped to guard against sinning and speaking wickedness! When the good treasure of His Word dwells in us, His Word becomes a fountain of living waters!

Yoḥanan/John 7:37-38 “And on the last day, the great day of the festival, Yahusha stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me, and let him who believes in Me drink.” As the Scripture said, out of His innermost shall flow rivers of living water.

The fountain of wisdom is a flowing stream!

The Hebrew root word used here for ‘fountain’ is מָקוֹר maqor – Strong’s H4726 meaning, ‘a spring, fountain and comes from the root –קור qur –Strong’s H6979 which means, ‘to dig’ and we know we are to dig and seek out His kingdom and His righteousness – the question is whether people have found the True well of LIFE and are sitting and learning at it or is it a muddied counterfeit?

YaHuWaH is the FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!!!

Tehillim/Psalms 68:6  Elohim makes a home for the lonely; He brings out into prosperity Those who are bound with chains; Only the rebellious shall dwell in a dry land.

Tehillim/Psalms 68:6 “Bless Elohim in the assemblies, YaHuWaH, from the fountain of Yisra’ĕl.”

When we come to the FOUNTAIN OF LIFE and gather when we should, (Sabbath, Moedim) as an obedient flock who know His voice, then that Water of Life becomes a fountain in us as our lives are changed and our speech is renewed enabling us to bring life and healing to the nations!

Mishlĕ/Proverbs 10:11 “The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but violence covers the mouth of the wrong.”

Mishlĕ/Proverbs 13:14 “The Torah of the wise is a fountain of life, turning one away from the snares of death.”

Mishlĕ/Proverbs 14:27 “The fear of YaHuWaH is a fountain of life, to turn away from the snares of death.”

Mishlĕ/Proverbs 16:22 “Understanding is a fountain of life to him who has it, but the disciplining of fools is folly.”

Yahusha is The Living Torah and our source of Life, or rather He is the Life of the Torah – and when we drink of Him – the FOUNTAIN OF LIFE begins to flow out us as we gain understanding, and walk in the fear YaHuWaH by walking in the Torah, and our speech becomes a flowing source of LIFE!

The Hebrew word for ‘wisdom’ is חָכְּמָה ḥokmah – Strong’s H2451 meaning, wisdom, skill and is from the primitive root word חָכַם ḥakam – Strong’s H2449 meaning, ‘to be wise, skillful, make wise’.

CḤet –חָֹ: The ancient script has this letter as which is a tent wall and carries a meaning of SEPARATION as a tent wall separates two halves of the tent; or it can also reflect the outside walls that separate the people inside from that which is outside and so can also symbolize protection and security to those inside, while picturing a cutting off of those who are outside. Hence this letter can mean ‘established, secure as well as ‘cut off, separated from’. As a tent wall we are also able to recognize the picture of stones being built up to make a complete wall, having been separated from the world and built up in the master!

Kaph –כְֹּ: The ancient form of this letter is meaning ‘the open palm of a hand’. The meaning behind this letter is ‘to bend and curve’ from the shape of a palm as well as ‘to tame or subdue’ as one has been bent to another’s will (under their hand), as an open hand symbolizes submission. This also can picture for us a palm or palm branch from the curved palm shape. The hand also speaks of one’s work, or under whose hand you submit and obey!

Mem –מָֹ: The ancient script has this letter as and is pictured as ‘water’, and also carries the meaning of ‘chaos’ (from the storms of the sea) and can also picture that which is mighty or massive as well as the unknown. We are also able to understand this letter as representing the nations, for the nations are often likened to the seas in Scripture. Knowing this letter represents ‘water’, we are also able to see how this can render for us the meaning of ‘washing’ or cleansing.

Hey –ה: The ancient script has this letter pictured as, which is a man standing with his arms raised out. The meaning of the letter is “behold, look, breath, sigh and reveal or revelation”; from the idea of revealing a great sight by pointing it out. It also carries for us the meaning of surrender, as we lift up our hands and submit to YaHuWaH as we lift our hands in praise, declaring His authority under which we humbly submit!

As we consider these pictographic letters that render for us the term for ‘wisdom’ we are able to clearly see that wisdom entails a separation, as pictured through the tent wall. We can render the meaning of the construction of this word, in terms of true wisdom, as meaning, We are built up in the Master as we separate ourselves from the world as we submit under the hand of our Yahusha and do what His Word instructs as it washes us, and enables us to lift our hands to Him in continual praise!

Wisdom, at its core, speaks of one’s ability to clearly separate the good from the bad, right and wrong, left and right, and up and down; and this we are to be able to do as we exercise true discipline – the discipline of separation! Wisdom is often used in the context of a skilled workman that has been equipped by the Ruach of Elohim:

Shemoth/Exodus 28:3 “And you, speak to all the wise of heart, whom I have filled with a ruach of wisdom, and they shall make the garments of Aharon, to set him apart, for him to serve as priest to Me.”

Wisdom in the ancient text can speak of a clear separation by the washing of one’s hands; and as we consider the design of the Mishkan, we need to be reminded that the bronze laver was used for the serving priests to wash their hands and feet; and clearly pictures for us how we are to be continually washing our work and walk through being immersed in the Word that transforms us!

The Hebrew root verb used here for ‘pour out’ is נָבַע naḇa –Strong’s H5042 which means, ‘to flow, spring, bubble up, pour forth, spout, gush forth’. This root word denotes a continual flowing or gushing forth. When we let the Word of Messiah dwell richly in us we become a continual flowing source of wisdom and life to others! On the other hand we also take note that when His word does not dwell in a person they may become a continual source of wickedness and lawlessness to others!

The Hebrew root word for ‘stream’ is נַחְּלָה naḥlah – Strong’s H5158 which means,’torrent, torrent valley, wadi, brook, ravine, stream’, and this usually referred to a dry river bed or ravine, which in rainy season becomes a raging torrent. It can also represent a permanent stream or river that flows like a torrent, as we seein Amos with the call to let righteousness flow like a mighty stream:

“And let right-ruling (Mishpat) roll on like water, and righteousness (Tzedakah) like a mighty stream. Amos 5:24

This can also symbolically represent for us the pride of the nations, the strength of the invader and the power of the enemy which can destroy the parched and dry places. When we are not being continually nourished in the Truth of the living word, and meditating on the Torah so that we are like a tree planted by the waters, we may become like a dry brook that the enemy can flood with his lies and confusion through ‘ traditions of men and denominations and also translations of scriptures.

This word נַחְּלָה naḥlah is also used in the positive sense in describing YaHuWaH’s pleasure over His set-apart ones:

Tehillim/Psalms 36:8 “They are filled from the fatness of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.”

When His Word dwells in us we become a true source of life as right-ruling  (Mishpat) and righteousness (Tzedakah) flows from deep within like a mighty stream!
